About Tidehold
A harbour for new coins
Tidehold is where you launch a coin on Robinhood Chain and where people go to find the new ones.
Where we started
One start line for everyone
Most launches are rigged before they go live. Somebody got in early, somebody holds the liquidity. We wanted a place where every coin starts from the same spot, at 1.7 ETH, with the pool locked from the first block.
So on Tidehold you give it a name, sign once, and the market opens. Whether it stays at the surface or goes all the way down is up to the people buying.
The short guide
- 1. Draft it. Open Create. Add a name, ticker, picture and links.
- 2. Check it. Read the draft once more, then sign in your wallet.
- 3. It trades. The coin shows up on the Launchpad right away and anyone can buy.
- 4. Keep track. Hit Watch on any coin page and it lands in your Portfolio.
Crew launch
For coins that want backing before they trade. You set a goal in ETH and a closing date. If the goal is met, the coin launches with that money in the pool. If it isn't, everyone gets their ETH back. Not open yet.
Questions
What does a launch cost?+
Gas, which your wallet shows before you sign. There is no listing fee.
Who gets the tokens?+
Most of the supply goes into the pool at launch. A fixed share goes to the house wallet, and the rules are the same for every coin.
Can the creator pull liquidity?+
No. The launch position is locked in the contract and nobody has a key to it, us included.
What is the trading fee?+
10% on each trade. Half goes to the coin's creator, half to Tidehold.
Why is everything marked Sample?+
The launch contract is not live yet. Until it is, the coins on the board are made up so you can see how it works.
